CAT Qualification. . .

Background

The Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) is an internationally recognised qualification structured and awarded by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). CAT is designed to equip you with all the technical skills and knowledge required to fulfil a supporting role in accountancy. CAT will provide students with a solid foundation to progress on to ACCA (gaining exemptions for all of part 1) or CIMA (gaining exemptions from papers 1 and 2).

Entry Requirements

CAT is open to anyone 16 years old or over. No formal academic qualifications are required to register as a CAT student.

Exemptions

Candidates having certain educational qualifications may receive exemptions from some papers. You may also be able to claim exemptions from the introductory level exams if you satisfy the one year’s practical work experience requirements.

Please contact the ACCA for further information.
